Detox or not to detox?
Toxicity is a major health problem for all of us. Back in 2001, there were more than billions of pounds of chemical pollutants released into our environment. We have been exposed to thousands of compounds than can enter and harm our bodies by the food we eat, the air we breathe and even the chemicals we apply on our skin with the various lotions and cosmetics. When we don’t eat healthy meals and we have a poor diet, we may end up toxic.
Where do these toxins come from? They are heavy metals, pesticides, drugs, alcohol, cigarette smoking and various food additives. Our own bodies even make toxins from unhealthy foods and toxins can build up in our intestines. Remember 70% or more of our immune system is in our gut; these toxins can really make us feel poorly.
The various ways these toxins can affect our health include many symptoms and conditions such as:
Migraine headaches
Fibromyalgia
Generalized pain
Chemical sensitivity to foods and environment
Chronic fatigue and pain syndromes
You can reduce your toxicity risks by avoiding high fat food, additives and preservatives. Try to eat organically, drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins. Detox to support the elimination organs to gain strength, have more energy, sleep better and get healthier inside and out. Remember what you put on your skin can be absorbed and make you toxic too. There are safe skin care options.
Remember prolonged fasting can often do more harm than good for your health. The detox process uses a lot of energy, fasting with water or juice can often be ineffective and even dangerous. This can weaken your muscles; organs and the good nutrients can even be eliminated rather than toxins.
When you detox, or diet to lose weight or get healthy, you need good food nutritional support. You need vitamins, minerals and good daily balanced nutrition. When you detox the right way, your body will eliminate harmful toxins. Your kidneys are a major role to detox and eliminate through your urine. You need an alkaline pH balanced body to function correctly. Getting healthy inside and out is not as difficult as it sounds. You need to support good health, head off disease and there will be a new you!
